Locks of Love

This year I decided to make a school wide Locks of Love drive. I am in charge of the Student Council, so we sent out flyers to the entire school asking for hair donations all year long. Leigha was the first donation, I had saved her braids for this very reason. The first donations we received were from a mom and a DAD! We got a bunch more donations in over the months.

I have been growing my hair out for a long time. I love having my hair long, especially when I am working out. I need to be able to throw it in a ponytail. However, since the year was coming to a close, I knew it was time to see if I had enough hair to donate. I seriously had just enough to donate! It's pretty short in the back, but I was able to keep the length longer in the front since it had been pulled back into a ponytail. It was worth it, Locks of Love is a great organization!

I've got a whole mess of hair that needs to be cut off! How much do you have to have in order to donate?
PS I remember you from the NICU reunions but I found your blog via Michelle's.

They are adorable, and you look terrific! How do you do it?

I am a wife, a mother, and a graduate student. I’m currently researching mommy blogs, and I found your blog. I would appreciate your input about why you blog! If you would participate, please visit my blog—http://reflectionsofasheepishlion.blogspot.com—and answer my questions in your comment.

Thank you, and God bless you.

Hey there... I am trying to put together a Locks of Love campaign for my school. Do you have the flyers and other stuff you sent out? I would love to see them. I am trying to get this started and any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ichildress@bryantschools.org
