It continues....

Well, I think I left off with both Noah and Matthew being sick. Robert has been wonderful. His eyes were a bit watery but he acted just like his usual self. Today was no different. Robert woke up happy as could be, however, he had 101 degree temperature. That was constant throughout the day, but you would never have known it.

Noah hasn't had a fever since Thursday night/Friday morning. He is whiney off and on and very clingy. Matthew had a pretty good day, for the most part. His fever never went above 101. After dinner and relaxation time, we noticed that Matthew could barely keep his eyes open. My mom and I started getting them ready for bed. That's when I noticed that Matthew was hotter than he had been all day. I gave him his Motrin and then my mom dressed him for bed. Unfortunately, his fever just kept going up. I had a hard time telling the difference between not acting right and just being plain tired. We got the other two in bed and then focused on Matthew. My mom brought him some cold cloths and I just held him for awhile. I think the highest I got was around 104 degrees (maybe up to 104.3).

Robert is now back in his crib in the bedroom with Noah and Matthew is lying on the living room floor. I keep checking his temperature every 20 minutes or so. He is hovering around 102 degrees. Everyone received Motrin before bed, but that means I can't give it again until around 4 a.m. I have been alternating Children's Tylenol with the Motrin, but I swear the Tylenol never does anything for fevers.

The only reason I worry more with Noah and Matthew is because of their history with breathing and oxygen. Robert has been healthy since he was discharged and had his oxygen permanently removed. Noah has been hospitalized several times for turning blue on me. Matthew was on oxygen for the first 18 months of his life. So when either of them have respiratory issues, I tend to get a bit more paranoid. Hopefully they will all feel better in the morning and they will be able to enjoy their last few days at Grandma and Grandpa's!
